Who is ‘Big Wall / Problem Solving’ for?
This course will develop your climbing skills so that you can give some aid climbing on big walls a good go or just to develop your own personal probelm solving and self rescue skills. We will use our own experience of big wall climbing to help develop your skills so that when you head out on your dream trip you are one step ahead or just feel more confident about sorting out a problem when you are out on the crag Ideally you need to be a competent climber operating at least at VS and above regularly leading traditional routes in multi pitch environments.
We would recommend 2 days to really start understanding the rope systems and consolidating your new skills. Having climbed the Nose on El Cap and on some walls in Utah I am well placed to help you develop your aid climbing skills ready for your own ascents.

Tom Wheeler - Devon - Tom has successfully climbed Washington Column and Half Dome since the course.
“Thanks, we had a great time on saturday and sunday. Cam hooks are awesome not too sure about talon placements, it held but made noises as it moved slightly on the rock. Good fun.”
James Lawson - London
What is the weather is bad?
We will endeavor to spend as much time as possible out on the crags, however if the weather is bad we can often cover many of the skills in the climbing wall. With this course we may even start in the wall to get the basics covered in a safer bolted environment.
